Retirement is often characterized by a sense of reflection and introspection—a time to rekindle old passions and cultivate new ones. Painting has emerged as a radiant beacon, guiding me to explore uncharted creative territories. Through each brushstroke, I discover a language that transcends words, allowing me to communicate my emotions, experiences, and dreams with a clarity that mere conversation cannot capture.
The act of painting becomes a meditation—an opportunity to lose myself in the vibrant hues and dynamic textures, unearthing hidden facets of creativity that may have remained dormant in the bustling years of my career.
When cancer arrived on my doorstep in early 2023, I realized that painting helped reveal a place in my soul filled with color, passion, and renewal. It has become my steadfast companion, a muse that reminds me that the canvas of life continues to stretch before me, waiting to be filled with experiences both remembered and yet to unfold.
I am a mom, grandma, partner, daughter, sister and friend. I live in Middletown, Connecticut and spend time regenerating at my vacation home in Vermont.
